The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) reports that residential home sales in the region totalled 2,517 in March 2018, a 29.7 percent decrease from the 3,579 sales recorded in March 2017, and a 14 percent increase compared to February 2018 when 2,207 homes sold.

The Fraser Valley housing market had its second highest selling year on record in 2017, with total MLS® transactions and dollar volume sold behind only 2016’s unprecedented level of activity.
The Board’s Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) processed 22,338 sales in 2017, 7.3 percent less than the record of 23,974 sales set in 2016.
Victoria real estate market strong to the end of 2017

A total of 462 properties sold in the Victoria Real Estate Board region this December, 1.9 percent fewer than the 471 properties sold in December last year. A grand total of 8,944 properties sold over the course of 2017, 15.8 percent fewer than the record breaking 10,622 that sold in 2016. 2017 sales came in at 21.7 percent over the ten year average of 7,349 properties sold.
VIREB posts the strongest December on record

The Vancouver Island Real Estate Board (VIREB) reports that on a seasonally adjusted basis, the board had its busiest December on record, with 667 housing units changing hands last month. Sales of single-family homes increased by 35 percent from December 2016. Annually, 5,612 single-family homes sold on the Multiple Listing Service® (MLS®) System in 2017 compared to 6,059 the previous year, a decrease of seven percent.
