The Vision
South Yards is an 8.3-acre master-planned community by Anthem Properties at the gateway to Brentwood in North Burnaby, located at the corner of Willingdon Avenue and Dawson Street, one block south of Brentwood Town Centre SkyTrain Station. Built out over four phases across approximately 10 years, the completed community will include five high-rise towers and two wood-frame mid-rise rental buildings, totalling roughly 2,567 homes, including 2,105 market condominiums, 120 market rental units, and 342 affordable rental homes. Phase One consists of two residential towers (36 and 43 storeys) plus a six-storey rental building, connected by a shared skybridge. Architecture is by IBI Group, a multi-disciplinary firm founded in 1974. The site was originally entitled by China Aoyuan Group before being acquired by Anthem Properties and KingSett Capital for $215 million in 2022. South Yards sits within a five-minute walk of The Amazing Brentwood, with over 250 stores and 1.1 million sq ft of retail space.
