BC New Homes (“we”, “us”) operates bcnewhomes.ca. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what control you have over it.
We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
Information you give us. When you register for VIP access, follow a developer, claim a developer profile, or contact us, we collect:
- Your name and email address
- Your phone number, where you provide one
- Your buying timeline and whether you are already working with a realtor, where you tell us
- Any message you write to us
- Which page or form your enquiry came from
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and pages requested. These are used for security and to keep the site running, not to build a profile of you.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 19, and we do not collect financial information, government identifiers or sensitive personal information through this site.
Why we collect it
- To answer your question or respond to your enquiry
- To send you information about new home developments, launches and pricing you have asked to hear about
- To connect you with information about a specific project you registered for
- To improve the accuracy and coverage of what we publish
We will not use your information for a materially different purpose without asking you first.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent they need it:
- Brevo — email delivery and contact management. Your name, email, phone and enquiry details are stored there.
- Vercel — website hosting and server logs.
- Map and location providers — our maps load tiles from third-party services, which receive your IP address as part of any normal web request.
Some of these providers store or process data outside Canada, which means your information may be subject to the laws of another jurisdiction.
If you ask us to connect you with a specific developer or project, we will tell you before sharing your details with them.
Email and your consent
We only send marketing email to people who have asked to receive it. Every message we send identifies us and includes a working unsubscribe link, as required under CASL. Unsubscribing takes effect promptly and does not require you to contact us.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as it is needed for the purpose you gave it to us, or as long as required by law. If you unsubscribe and ask us to delete your record, we will remove it.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is inaccurate
- Delete your information
- Withdraw your consent to being contacted

Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Some browser storage may be used to remember your preferences while you are using the site.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and submissions are transmitted encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold and limit who can access it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted on the site.
